Why was the Purchase Opportunity Program (POP) created?
After careful consideration and feedback from customers, the program was created to make the homebuying experience more convenient and equitable. Through this program, we’ve eliminated the need for you to race to the community on the day of a release, camp out overnight, or miss the opportunity because you were unavailable.
Why are you using a lottery?
The lottery will only be used when a community first opens in order to accommodate the build up of interest. Once the initial lottery occurs, any additional homebuyers will be placed on the list on a first come, first serve basis.
How is my initial position on the POP list determined?
By Lottery – During the initial registration period, all registrants will be entered in a lottery. At that time, registrants will be randomly assigned a position on the "POP List". This lottery is performed by a computer system using a random number generation program.
By First-Come, First-Serve – After the initial lottery occurs, new registrants will be added to the "POP List" on a first-come, first serve basis.
How can I find out my position on the POP list?
You may check your position at any time by logging into My Profileat the Camberley Homes website. During an active release, you will be notified with an email that also includes your position on the list.
Why do I have to register?
You must register in order to receive a place on the POP list. The information you provide will be used to manage the POP list and notify you of homesite releases.
What information do I need to provide during registration?
- Your Name. The name on the contract must match the name registered in the lottery pool.
- Your address and email. This enables us to contact you with sales information and homesite releases.
- Last four digits of your social security number. This ensures that homebuyers do not register more than once for each community.
- Realtor and broker information. If you are represented by a real estate agent, the agent’s name must be included on your registration form. Once submitted, you cannot edit or add an agent.
What happens if I don’t respond to a homesite release invitation within the four (4) day acceptance window?
If you do not respond to the email invitation within the 4 days timeframe, you will no longer be eligible for a homesite in the current release.
Important: If you miss the initial four day window to respond, you must still respond to the current invitation by Day 13. If you do not, we will assume that you are no longer interested in the community and you will be permanently removed from the system.
What happens if I do not respond to a homesite release invitation within the thirteen day window?
After day thirteen, we will assume that you are no longer interested in the community and you will be permanently removed from the system. Therefore, even if you missed the original four day window to be eligible for a release, you must login and Defer by day thirteen to keep your place in the system.
Can I change my mind once I decline a release invitation?
Once you decline an invitation, you are permanently removed from the release system and there is no way to reverse the action. You will need to re-register and will receive a position at the end of the current POP list. If you do not want to participate in the current release, but still want to remain on the list, you must select the Defer option.
If I attend a contract meeting, but do not purchase a homesite, will I lose my place in the system?
No. Eligible homebuyers are given the option to select a homesite in the order shown on the POP list. In some instances, this may mean that the released homesite that you want may no longer be available by the time you attend your contract meeting. In that case, you can still keep your place in the system for future releases. To secure your position, it is important that you log in to My Profile and change your response from Accept to Defer. If you fail to do so within three days, your name will be permanently removed from the system.
Why do I still have to Accept or Defer if I am far down on the list?
In order to maintain your place on the list, it is critical that you respond to each and every homesite release, regardless of your position. First, your response let’s us know that you are still interested in purchasing a homesite. Second, it is possible that a large number of buyers above you in the list will Defer or Decline. In this case, you will be offered an appointment to attend a sales contract meeting.
How do I update my contact information such as email address?
You may update your contact information at any time by logging into My Profile at the Camberley Homes website.
Can I sell or transfer my position on the POP list to another party?
Positions in the system are non-transferable. The name on the contract must match the name registered in the lottery pool. Any attempt to sell or transfer your position on the list, may result in your removal from the program. |
